How many people joined twitter? How many people using it? What is twitter about? What for to tweet and update ourselves?
There is no doubt that the traffic of twitter is growing at an incredible rate. According to my research, there are roughly 18 millions of registered users.
So What is Twitter for? Twitter is a popular micro blogging for us to update ourselves and follow your friends and family and even News, Branded Fashion, Apple, Obama Barack? or your favourite movie stars! Besides that, business owner can even grow their business and dominate the market by tweeting. Some people may found job and employment in twitter too.
Okay, lets compare with Facebook, Twitter may sound tiny to compare with 200 millions active users of Facebook! However, Twitter will continue to grow and it is a good tool for people to start blogging. It is short, simple and clear micro blog or updating your status. Someday, Twitter will become a huge social networking area for people and business to grow!
So how to get started?
Firstly, sign up for an account! Of course, thats easy.
What you should enter into your profile?
I recommend to create a profile of your real identity or your company name. Make sure your profile name easily to recognize and represent you or your company. Put photo of yourself, your avatar or logo of your company.
After creating a profile, whats next?
Building followings! After signing up, you can now start following people!
First, start to follow someone you know. Then, find your favourite celebrities to follow =)
You can get to know new friends at twitter, just go search column and type a keyword eg Business - then twitter will directly link you to some users are interested in business or talking about business.
What can I do besides following? What other features?
Okay, besides following others or followed by other, you can tweet about your current status, what are you doing, tweet your blog post every time you post new stuff and tweet interesting news in order to share with the community.
Apart from that, when people tweets you, make sure you reply and respond to them by update another tweets with @username. You can even call your friend with twitter and JAJAH! Just create an account of JAJAH. Then type in @call @username, JAJAH will automatically link your phone number to the number of the one you wish to call. Although I haven't try that, but will try it soon =)

- Don tweet crap or rubbish, tweet what you are doing, why you doing it and talk about yourself.
- Tweet your blog post
- Leverage twitter to advertising
